Charlie Adams

Hi! I’m so excited that you’re here. It takes so much courage to start therapy and it would be such an honor to walk alongside you on this path. Life is really hard sometimes. It’s so easy to feel unseen, unheard, misunderstood, hopeless, and alone in our pain. The chaos of the world can be deeply saddening, angering, and hurtful. But you are not alone in your pain and in your struggle. I hope in our work together that we can cultivate more joy, love, acceptance, and gratitude in your life, as well as improve the ways you manage and cope with difficult situations. I aim to create a safe, affirming, and non judgemental therapeutic space where we can explore, discover, and process the things that are holding you back and the places that you want to go.

Developing self-awareness and insight is at the core of my work. I believe that the meaning we make out of our lives and the stories we tell ourselves directly impacts the way we experience the world.

I also believe that for change and healing to take place, we must fully accept ourselves as we are, including those parts of ourselves that we might not like and are really difficult to accept. By wholly embracing self-acceptance, we nurture love for ourselves. The more we can love our self, the more we can love and connect with others. I believe that relationships are a catalyst for growth and transformation and our work together will focus on the many different important relationships you have in your life.

Outside of being a therapist, I am an avid surfer, dancer, and yogi. I love to spend time with my family and friends, curl up with a good book, and listen to live music.

If any of this resonates with you, please schedule a meeting to start your journey of growth, healing, love, and acceptance. I look forward to helping you live a more meaningful, purposeful, and authentic life!
