Scholarship Program

If you find yourself in need of financial assistance, we have two scholarship options available:

  • Up to 8 sessions, 100% covered

  • Up to 16 sessions, 50% covered ($26.50/session)

At this time we are able to offer four scholarship spots, two times each year:

  • February 1st - August 31st

  • September 1st - January 31st

*Recipients of a scholarship will not be eligible for more than one scholarship within the same calendar year.

At Bloom we seek to recognize and understand the inequities that have cause the inaccessibility of safe and welcoming mental health care for all. Historic and current experiences of discrimination based on someone’s identity not only have a negative impact on mental health but also have direct impacts on financial realities. With this in mind, our scholarship program incorporates social identity as well as financial need into its decision making process.

Our priority is to provide these scholarships to individuals, couples, and families who qualify for MediCal, have children in the home, and hold any or multiple historically marginalized identities (ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, ability).

  • In this shorter format, we’ll focus on specific, immediate goals to give you practical tools and strategies for navigating current challenges. Here’s what to keep in mind:

    • Limited Scope: Because 8 sessions is a brief timeframe, we won’t be able to dive into in-depth trauma work or long-term issues. Instead, we’ll focus on immediate concerns that you’re facing now and skills that can help you manage day-to-day challenges.

    • Focused Work: We’ll prioritize 1-2 main goals that are most important to you. This could be managing stress, improving coping strategies, or gaining clarity on a specific issue.

Goal-Oriented: Our work together will be practical and solution-focused, helping you build momentum toward change. We’ll track progress along the way to ensure you feel supported and on the right path.

  • Over the course of 8 sessions, therapy will be structured to make the most of our time together:

    1. Session 1: Getting to know you, identifying key issues, and setting realistic goals.

    2. Sessions 2-7: Focused work on addressing the goals we set, building coping skills, and exploring new perspectives.

Session 8: Reviewing progress, providing resources, and planning next steps beyond our time together.

    • 48-Hour Notice: If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please do so at least 48 hours in advance.

    • Late Cancellations or No-Shows: If you cancel within 48 hours of your session or do not show up, the session will still count toward your 8-session total. We want to make the most of this time, so please be mindful of the schedule.
