“This being human is a guest house. Every morning a new arrival”

-Jelaluddin Rumi

I find that the therapeutic process reflects the poem, The Guest House, by Jelaluddin Rumi. Each day we encounter emotions from joy to pain and I consider it an honor to navigate through them with you. Entering into the healing process can be daunting and I aim to create a space for you that is affirming and safe. To me, this looks like considering what life could look like when we aren't just in survival mode. Through empathy, compassion, and unconditional positive regard, I believe we can let down those walls and take a look at what is going on underneath.

You may be reading this right now feeling misunderstood, unheard, or in active crisis and I am ready to step in beside you to begin working on change. My approach is client-centered and emotionally focused so there is flexibility to meet each individual where they are. This means that In our time together, I seek to create room for you to lead and explore what we are working on from wherever feels most natural. I operate from an attachment lens and will work with you to explore what that looks like in your life and how we can work together toward healing.

As a graduate student, I have enjoyed learning about theories like Rogerian, emotionally focused therapy, compassion-based therapy, and couples and family therapy. My background is based on behavioral interventions as I worked as an applied behavior analysis therapist with people on the autism spectrum. My areas of interest include trauma, couples therapy, intimacy, mindfulness, attachment theory, art therapy, and exploring sexual orientation and gender identity.
